Performs Preventative Maintenance on facility and plant equipment per written PMs.
Records findings on PM worksheets issued by the manager.
This includes such activities as lubrication, part replacement, and general adjustment.
Performs daily maintenance on plant equipment as necessary.
Seeks assistance when confronted with unfamiliar issues.
Must perform duties consistent with drug, medical device, and cosmetic GMPs.
Must keep tools clean and account for tools used on each job to prevent product contamination and equipment damage.
Develops rapport with plant operators to gather information regarding existing and developing equipment problems and failures that result in inefficiencies and potential shut-down.
Suggest changes and modifications to equipment to improve production capacity, reduce setup and sanitation time, etc.
Assists with keeping and developing spare parts inventories.
Assists Engineering with the operation of the Wastewater Pre-treatment system and other duties as needed.
Keep work areas clean and orderly.
Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
Work safely and observe plant safety rules.
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications: Minimum 4 years related experience in repairing packaging machinery and related equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent technical degree is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams as it relates to trouble-shooting and maintenance.
Problem Solving and decision-making.
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Spanish as a secondary language preferred.
