Mativ in Pittsfield, MA is looking for a Manufacturing Intern to join our team this summer. This internship is a great opportunity to get exposure to different manufacturing processes.  We are looking for a curious and driven intern with a basic understanding of process engineering principles.
  
The Mativ Summer Internship Program is scheduled to start on May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025. Our paid internship offers a well-rounded experience including meaningful work, a dedicated intern manager, professional development, and more. 
responsibilities  
In this position, the intern will report to the Manufacturing Manager and have an opportunity to be a part of the Filtration and Advanced Materials segment. Key responsibilities in this role include: 
  • Create presentations to be used for the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes related to non-woven, wet-laid paper making and saturation. 
  • Compile and display data to support recommendations for improvement. 
  • Estimate cost savings related to recommendations. 
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the manufacturing process. 
qualifications 
Required:  
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Paper Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related major.  
  • Minimum GPA-3.0. 
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills with willingness to learn. 
  • Strong skills with PowerPoint and other MS Suite products. 
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.  
  • Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business.  
  • Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
