description:

To manage the Daily execution of Receiving, Inventory Management, Production Support and Shipping activities for Mativ Windsor Operations. Resource will interface with Supply Chain Source & Plan processes as well as Manufacturing, Customer Care, Quality and Finance. Own the Inventory Cycle Count and Accuracy processes. Manage and optimize Outbound shipping expenses. Coordinate and execute on Warehouse pallets, parts, services and supplies.

 

responsibilities:

  • Insure Warehouse receiving, stocking, put-away activities, picking and transfers are done in accordance with WIN Site Safety policies
  • Manage Warehouse Staff and perform Workforce planning to allow for the efficient receipts, goods movements and outbound deliveries. Insure all shipping activities completed in compliance of local, state and federal agencies.
  • Manage Outbound shipping partners, 3PLs and Logistics partners to negotiate optimal freight. See to the timely resolution of freight claims and customer complaints
  • Design, Plan and Execute Inventory Controls and Cycle Count activities related to Inventory control
  • Manage ERP receiving of services, materials, equipment, parts and goods not ordered through the MRP process.
  • Coordinate with SC Planning on releases of materials stored at off-site locations
  • Partner with internal Production on timely delivery of raw materials and receipt of WIP/Finished Production
  • Design and Implement a freight cost tracking/auditing program to facilitate invoice payment and profitability analysis
  • Maintain Warehouse & Shipping Docks Housekeeping standards by assigning resources, requesting work from Maintenance team
  • Own and maintain all inventory transactions related to Subcontract manufacturing and associated goods movements
  • Develop and manage Scrap Sale/Recycling programs to minimize waste and reclaim material value
  • Insure a FIFO materials movement culture is in place at Mativ Windsor
  • Lead training programs, succession plans and development opportunities for Warehouse staff
  • Other duties as assigned

 

qualifications:

Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of Warehouse Shift Leader, Manager experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Detail oriented with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Effective in work organization: managing priorities and objectives in a timely manner
  • Able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiar with an integrated ERP system (SAP, ORACLE, JD Edwards) and Warehouse Management tools
  • Maintains a Just in Time process focus & time based approach with regard to supplying Manufacturing/Production with materials
  • Basic Excel skills

 

Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

  • WMS experience 
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge
  • DOT, IATA, Hazardous Materials certifications

 

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Standard Warehouse environment requirements apply; lift up to 35 pounds, work at height, operate Warehouse equipment.
