We currently have an opportunity available for a 1st Shift Picker located at our New Berlin, WI and West Allis, WI plants.


The Picker is responsible for picking inventory for orders identified from pick tickets and performing the following duties:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift or pallet jack for picking orders, load and unload trucks.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency in all job duties especially the accurate picking of orders and reacting to internal customer requests.
  • Must be familiar with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that deal with Order Picking, Receiving, Warehousing, Safety and Shipping.
  • Follows good safety practices.
  • Unloads trucks, verifies integrity of materials and verifies counts of material received, and receiving small packages from UPS and Fed Ex etc. as necessary.
  • Moves received raw materials into the appropriate area.
  • Moves released raw materials to the proper inventory location.
  • Is trained and licensed to operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner; maintains the vehicles assigned to them.
  • Receives pick ticket and pulls according to that order.
  • Inspects order for accuracy and completeness.
  • Receive in purchase orders.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Sign for returns.
  • Keeps warehouse, receiving and shipping dock areas neat and tidy.
  • Completes all associated paperwork accurately and per procedure.
  • Stocking and restocking materials.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely.

Education/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Sit down and stand up forklift certified
  • 2+ years Picking experience preferred
  • ERP knowledge preferred

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills
  • Communication skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly using hands and fingers for small movements like typing; frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers; frequent movements involving twisting and turning. The employee must be able to speak to be understood and able to hear in warehouse and shop environment 75db to 90 db. Visual abilities needed are normal vision with or without corrective lenses. The employee needs to be able to lift up to 75 pounds lbs. and carry 50 lbs. for 40-foot distance. The employee will need to occasionally reach above the shoulder, stand and walk frequently, and sit most of the working day. The employee will use foot/feet to operate machinery, frequently climb/balance, and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a warehouse and shop. Opportunities for overtime will be occasional. There is no travel commitment.
