Scheduler & Warehouse Manager

Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials between departments of our manufacturing plant. The scheduler will coordinate manufacturing assets and work cross-functionally with operations teams to ensure business needs are met. As a highly valued member of the organization, production schedulers help to drive continuous improvement activities that directly impact company success.

responsibilities: Plans and prepares production schedules for the manufacturing of company products by performing the following duties.

Required:

 Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

· Creates and maintains the master schedule to establish sequence and lead time for each operation.

· Ensures production finishes end products by ship dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

· Analyzes production specifications, plant capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to     

  determine manufacturing processes, tools, raw materials, and staffing requirements.

· Recommends improvements to management based on the schedule and resource analytics.

· Confers with department managers to determine status of schedule and associated projects.

· Expedites operations that delay production schedules; alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

· Allocates raw materials (WID’s) for manufacturing utilizing the company ERP system.

· Prepares production reports to include on-time delivery.

· Other duties may be assigned.

 

Preferred:

 

· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and

  experience.

· Proficient with computers and the Microsoft suite. Effectively present information and respond to questions

  from persons inside and outside the organization.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical

  procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

· Ability to quickly learn various software programs that aid in work completion.
