Quality Assurance & Systems Team Leader

Description:

 

The Quality Assurance & Systems Team Leader provides day-to-day functional leadership of the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring its effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement in line with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and the direction of the Site Quality Manager. This role supports audit readiness, drives disciplined document and training control, and partners cross-functionally to embed consistent, compliant QMS processes across the site.  

responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day functional leadership of the QMS, acting as the primary point of contact for system operation and compliance, in support of the Site Quality Manager

 

  • Ensure audit and inspection readiness, supporting internal, customer, certification body and regulatory audits and inspections, and enabling timely, effective closure of system-related findings.

 

  • Provide technical leadership for core QMS processes, including document control, change control, CAPA, and training, ensuring consistent and compliant execution

 

  • Support Management Review by coordinating QMS inputs, maintaining records, and tracking actions under the direction of the Site Quality Manager as Management Representative

 

  • Develop, maintain and provide visibility of QMS metrics and key performance indicators, including trend analysis of system health, compliance risks, and emerging issues, to support effective decision making and Management Review

 

  • Drive continuous improvement of the QMS, identifying opportunities to standardize, simplify, and improve system effectiveness and usability

 

  • Lead document control capability, through the line management and development of the Document Control Specialist

 

  • Partner cross-functionally to support site projects and changes, ensuring QMS requirements are met and risks are identified and managed early

 

qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management Systems within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), and applicable regulatory and quality standards e.g. ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, FDA 21 CFR 210/211
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, inspections, and system-related corrective actions

Preferred

  • Previous people leadership experience
  • Experience with electronic QMS platforms
  • Certified Lead Audit qualification
