Position Title: Business Analyst

location: New Berlin, WI

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Analyst plays a key role in managing and optimizing Tekra and Trient’s commercial performance infrastructure. This position will oversee sales commission processes, administer Salesforce and Power BI systems, and provide actionable business insights that drive data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in leveraging data systems to enhance efficiency and transparency across departments.

 

responsibilities:

 

1. Commission Management

  • Own and manage the end-to-end sales commission process for Tekra and Trient, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and HR to validate sales data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for commission structures, policies, and workflows.
  • Prepare and submit monthly commission reports and ensure teams are paid accurately and on time.
  • Analyze commission trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and incentive optimization.
  • Support sales budget planning and forecasting related to commission structures.

 

2. Salesforce Administration & Analytics

  • Serve as the on-site Salesforce expert and administrator, maintaining user accounts, roles, profiles, and data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce dashboards, workflows, validation rules, and system configurations that support business processes and ISO certification requirements.
  • Create and manage custom Salesforce reports to support sales and leadership teams.
  • Conduct quarterly system audits and oversee data quality checks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align Salesforce enhancements with business goals.
  • Understand integrations between Salesforce and LN ERP, ensuring consistent and accurate data flow.

 

3. Power BI Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Act as the on-site Power BI expert, overseeing the integration between Power BI and LN.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that visualize KPIs such as sales performance, pipeline health, and commission metrics.
  • Automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accessibility across departments.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly business performance reviews to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency between Salesforce, Power BI, and financial systems.

 

4. Business Reporting & Data Insights

  • Data Mapping, transformation, and developing comprehensive sales and performance reports for management and leadership teams.
  • Provide on-demand reports and ad hoc analyses to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate business assumptions and guide data-driven decisions.

 

5. Marketing Systems Support

  • Support Marketing with digital and communication tools, including:
    • Email campaigns: build static lists, generate targeted reports, and distribute email blasts in Constant Contact.
    • Social media and internal communications: post content through programs such as Hootsuite, ScreenCloud and other channels
    • Website management: assist with updates and reporting on Tekra.com performance.
    • Lead distribution: manage and distribute ~3,000 annual website leads to sales territories with accurate CRM tracking.

 

qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, or financial analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com administration.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI tools) and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred:

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Experience managing or processing sales commissions or incentive compensation plans.
  • Familiarity with data integration between Salesforce, BI tools, and ERP systems (such as LN).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
