The Utility Operator is responsible for successful operation of the finishing production of the parts on the production floor.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follows all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
- Cleans parts using a variety of techniques required to meet customer specifications
- Deburrs, polishes and identify parts
- Mount parts on revolving spindle or chuck and hold or move tools such as a file, abrasive stone or cloth against work piece
- Use drill presses, notchers and sanders
- Clean interior surfaces of holes in tubes
- Develop, monitor, and maintain input reports, production reports
- Check quality at start of shift and ensure quality of all products throughout shift.
- Must be able to use measuring tools to meet specifications
- Ability to read basic blueprints
- Package product and assemble kits for shipping
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Attention to detail;

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions;
- Communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Up to six months related experience or a combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee must: Be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds; Regularly required to use hands and stand for longs periods of time.
The hourly rate for this position is $18.72 per hour.
