Position Title: Scheduler
Location: El Cajon, CA
Description: The El Cajon, CA location is seeking a Scheduler to join our Industrial team. The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and optimizing manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining productions schedules that align with customer demand, inventory levels, and operational capacity. This reports to the Plant Operations Manager.
Schedule - 1st Shift Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
responsibilities:
- Establish timely planning and scheduling sequence and lead times of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
- Arranges orders into a sequential work schedule
- Examines production specifications and capacity data to determine production processes, tools, and resource requirements
- Prepare production schedule by translating sales forecasts and customer orders into sequential work schedule
- Analyze production specifications and capacity data to determine processes, tools, and resource requirements
- Plan and schedule workflow for each production department and operation according to established production sequences and lead times
- Review material requirements and initiate purchase orders for raw material
- Communicate and collaborate with appropriate departments to optimize raw material inventory levels to meet production schedule expectations
- Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects for on time delivery
- May expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen situations and/or conditions
- Prepare and generate planning/scheduling production reports to support production activities
- Review material resource planning
- May prepare lists and purchase orders to obtain required materials, tools and equipment
- Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback

qualifications:

- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Minimum 2 years related experience, including ERP/MRP systems or equivalent of education and experience
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other manufacturing processes
- High level of attention to detail and thorough completion of work tasks
- Ability to actively listen to instructions and possess effective time management skills
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures
- Ability to prioritize and handle workflow
- Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions
