Entry Level I Operator
We are looking for Entry Level Operators in our Coretec, Extrusion, Secondary and Orienter Departments. Hours needed are 2-2-3 12-Hour Shifts from 7:45pm – 8am in our Extrusion, Secondary and Orienter Departments. Coretec Department Hours are 4pm-12am M-F.
Coretec Responsibilities:
- Operate Centerless Grinder after setup by Floor Coordinator, under moderate supervision.
- Understand Centerless Grinder principles and setup instructions.
- Adjust basic machine settings as needed
- Load annealing oven with tubing/rod for annealing
- Operate annealing oven using keypad, SOC, and pre-programmed scripts.
- Use up-saw to cut annealed material per SOC specifications.
- Shadow senior operators to begin learning extrusion principles.
- Assist with basic extrusion tasks (tool identification, staging materials, line prep).
- Maintain production set-up checklists, logs and assist with shift handoffs.
CNET Extrusion Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic setup and cleaning tasks as directed by senior operators.
- Monitor extrusion line operations and report any issues to the Operator IV or Supervisor.
- Perform routine housekeeping and safety checks within the work area.
- Help with roll changes and labeling under supervision.
- Work with scrap and use the baler under supervision.
Orienter Responsibilities:
- Assist with machine startup, shutdown, and routine cleanout procedures under supervision.
- Operate infeed and outfeed equipment under guidance.
- Load/upload rolls, make bales, assist with threading the drafter, and mark infeed splices.
- Cut Cores as needed and/or directed by the Operator IV.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with Slitter/Rewinder #1 Tread-up Procedure, Unwind Shaft Setting, and Positioning Cores on Intra Sliter Rewinder #2.
- Perform visual inspections of rolls per specifications.
- Changing Spinnerets on the Yarn Lines.
- Handling and Storing Spin-Finish.
- Filling Spin-Finish Drums on the Yarn Lines.
- Assist with Threading the Strand Line, Removing the Crimper on the Strand Line, and Placing Repro Bags on the Stand.
- Support Operating the Strand Line Baler Door, Clearing Jammed Strands from the Strand Line Cutter, Cutting Off Wrap-ups, and Making a Finished Bale.
- Observe Mixing Rinse Dry and Mixing Silicone lube procedures.
