Position Title: Regulatory & Operational Compliance Lead

Location: Alpharetta/ Hybrid

Position Summary:

The Regulatory & Operational Compliance (ROC) Lead provides independent assurance that regulatory requirements, operational compliance controls, and site-level risk management practices are operating effectively across the company’s manufacturing network.

Operating within the Internal Audit function, the ROC Lead focuses on validating execution discipline across manufacturing operations, identifying systemic operational risks, and providing leadership with visibility into emerging issues that may impact product quality, regulatory compliance, or operational resilience.

The role works collaboratively with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, EHS, and Legal teams to support a coordinated combined assurance approach, while maintaining independence from operational ownership and program management.

The ROC Lead validates execution effectiveness and identifies systemic operational risks but does not own operational programs, compliance policies, or remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Operational Compliance Assurance

Evaluate the effectiveness of operational compliance controls within manufacturing operations, including adherence to key procedures, operational standards, and Management of Change (MOC) discipline.

Assess whether site-level processes are consistently executed as designed and identify gaps between documented procedures and actual operational practices.

2) Regulatory Execution Validation

Assess how manufacturing sites implement regulatory requirements applicable to their operations and evaluate whether execution aligns with corporate standards and regulatory expectations.

Identify potential vulnerabilities that could create regulatory exposure, inspection risk, or operational disruption.

3) Site Risk & Business Continuity Preparedness

Review the adequacy and maintenance of site-level risk assessments and evaluate whether risk mitigation strategies remain current and actionable.

Assess the readiness and maintenance of site Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), including review of testing results and remediation follow-up.

4) Product Quality & Remediation Effectiveness

Analyze patterns related to product quality issues, deviations, and recurring operational breakdowns.

Evaluate whether corrective actions implemented by sites address root causes and prevent recurrence, and identify systemic issues affecting multiple sites.

5) Enterprise Operational Risk Trend Analysis

Leverage operational data to identify trends and recurring risk patterns across the manufacturing network.

Provide leadership with insights on emerging operational risks, systemic weaknesses, and cross-site execution patterns.

Qualifications Required:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience evaluating operational or business processes within manufacturing or industrial environments, including roles in audit, operations, quality, risk, compliance, or advisory functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience evaluating operational or business processes through walkthroughs, interviews, and control testing, with exposure to manufacturing environments through operational reviews, process assessments, or similar activities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and execution discipline, with the ability to assess how processes perform in practice versus design.
  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to identify patterns and systemic operational issues across multiple sites.
  • Ability to assess operational execution, identify gaps between procedures and practice, and translate observations into practical risk insights.
  • Strong communication and presence, with the ability to engage effectively with site leadership and senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, including Manufacturing Operations, Quality, EHS, Regulatory, and Legal teams.
