Job Description:

 

Mativ is hiring a Global Project Manager responsible for managing and driving a portfolio of R&D projects, focused on our growth categories, by collaborating with cross functional teams to bring exciting new products to our business portfolio. The Global Project Manager’s role is to lead the successful execution of projects through proper planning, documentation, reporting, budgeting, risk management, and overall coordination of the specific project. This role reports to the Vice President of R&D for Release Liners, Tapes, Protective & Engineered Solutions and Healthcare. This role may be based at one of our manufacturing facilities or could be remote.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and facilitate the portfolio of R&D projects and their execution following the OneMativ stage-gate, business development, and sound project management processes for the Release Liners, Tapes, Protective & Engineered Solutions and Healthcare groups. 
  • For key projects, lead and establish a cadence of project work sessions and reviews with project team members and key stakeholders to ensure requirements and deliverables are agreed-upon and projects remain on track for schedule, scope, and budget
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure a strong pipeline of projects, prioritized based on business need/value 
  • Actively participate and identify ideas for filling the project pipeline 
  • Develop and manage project documentation for each project including project / product requirements, schedules / key milestones, resources, costing / financial assessment, risk assessment and gate documents/status updates  
  • Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks 
  • Manage key projects to ensure on-time delivery of key milestones, with required performance and cost.  
  • Develop and present next-step recommendations for projects in the stage gate and business development processes
  • Facilitate the onboarding of complex new business opportunities with key customers to ensure successful business wins
  • Provide and/or obtain support for administrative aspects of project management
  • Utilize required tools to track project pipeline metrics, key project data used for project status and metrics reporting 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within cross-functional team across the company to ensure project execution   
  • Provide recommendations for required underlying systems support and implement when appropriate  
  • Coach and develop others within the team to properly execute the stage gate process and become an SME for sound project management practices and the stage gate process. 
  • Work with other functional teams to coordinate and resolve urgent business challenges such as raw material supply disruptions, manufacturing constraints, or quality issues
  • As this is a global position, global travel will be required

 

Qualifications: 

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, the Sciences, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of professional job-related experience with a history of impactful results
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

 

Preferred 

  • Research & Development experience in the areas of lab evaluations, new product development trials, and new product scale up is preferred
  • Adhesive, release liner or polymer chemistry experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of Healthcare product development lifecycle is desirable
  • Desire to take on future people leadership roles

 

 

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This role is also short-term incentive plan eligible. This posting will close within 90 days of the date posted. We encourage you to apply now!
